Heads-Up

Heads-Up Technology is a non-capping feature that allows cartridge start up after extended periods of down time (no wiping or purging up to 120+ hours). Nearly all other inks using the 45A printhead without this technology, begin to experience clogging anywhere from 5-30 minutes of down time. The cartridge is able to not be used for days and still maintain great quality when printing resumes. The heads-up formulation enables the ink to not dry up in the head of the cartridge.

Ink	Attributes	Drawbacks	Ideal Application
CM-150H	Less maintenance. Applicable on coated and non-coated substrates. Dries faster than CM-150.	Fair print quality.	Primarily used in the mailing and packaging industry.
CM-557H	Works well on coated stocks. Less maintenance. Dries faster than the CM-557. More reliable than CM-557.	Lighter in color. Susceptible to smearing on coated stock when rubbed with a wet finger.	Extreme cases of down time. Primarily used for the packaging industry. Works well in a high paper dust enviroment.
	Produces a sharp image. Dries faster and more reliable than 902.	Poor quality on coated stock. Requires similar maintenance as the 902.	Good for bar codes and applications where the image must be very sharp.
