UV Curable Inks

The Collins line of UV Curable inkjet inks was designed to perform as a versatile, Graphic Arts printing inkset that provides excellent adhesion and durability on a variety of flexible and rigid media, including:

  • Coroplast
  • Polyvinyl chloride (PVC, rigid and flexible)
  • Polycarbonate
  • Polystyrene
  • Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS)
  • Acrylic
  • Many others

Automotive grade pigments were carefully selected to ensure not only excellent weatherability but also deep color density for outstanding appearance. The result is a high quality image with superior light fastness for most graphic arts applications.

These inks were formulated to maintain a Newtonian rheology during the printing process to guarantee optimum image quality in the high shear environment found in piezoelectric drop on demand printheads. Satellite formation is minimized and jet stability is maximized through careful selection of low-viscosity monomers and oligomers, as well as additives to allow adjustment of rheological properties. These inks also enjoy a long open air time (time between printing without requiring a purge), lessening the amount of ink and time wasted.

These inks cure using medium pressure, mercury vapor r iron-doped lamps powered at 300 Watts/inch or higher, at an energy density of 200 mJ/cm2 or higher.

Collins' line of UV curable inks are available in CMYKLcLmW.

Applications include:

  • Point of purchase displays
  • Interior and exterior signage
